Mucunguzi cut his own daughter

A 17-year-old girl named Akunda was rescued Wednesday evening after being brutally attacked and seriously injured with a panga by her own father, Mucunguzi Innocent, in the Nsangi area.
The suspect remains at large following the nighttime assault. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital.

Police have appealed to the public to assist in locating Mucunguzi Innocent. Anyone with information should report immediately to the nearest police station.
Minister Balaam Barugahara Applauded the DPC of Nsangi for their prompt action in rescuing the girl. Justice for "Akunda must be served. All young people suffering cruelty at the hands of unstable or abusive parents deserve our full protection and support," Balaam said.
