Under the guidance of newly appointed national junior teams head coach Laryea Kingston, the Cubs have been undergoing tactical and technical training sessions, and the Ghanaian tactician says he is impressed with the progress the boys are making.
The technical bench has been boosted by the arrival of former Uganda Cranes and KCCA FC star Sadam Juma, who currently coaches at the Juventus Academy in Nanjing, China.
The Cubs will play a friendly match against the Vipers Junior Team at the FTC Njeru on Saturday at 9:00 am, before finalizing travel arrangements to Addis Ababa for the tournament.
In Ethiopia, the Cubs will compete in Group B alongside Tanzania, Djibouti, Sudan, and Burundi, while hosts Ethiopia are placed in Group A with Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan, and Rwanda.
