A dispute has reportedly emerged among family members of late Kadongo Kamu musician Paulo Kafeero following the exhumation of his remains, with relatives raising concerns over items allegedly discovered during the process. According to sources close to the family, labourers and individuals involved in the exhumation were left shocked after reportedly discovering various items inside the grave, including herbs and bottles whose purpose remains unclear.

Some family members have since linked the discoveries to longstanding disagreements surrounding property ownership and inheritance following the musician’s death.
Sources within the family allege that disagreements have particularly centred around management and sale of family property, with accusations emerging over distribution of proceeds among surviving relatives. However, these claims remain unverified and could not be independently confirmed.

The dispute has also reportedly prompted some family members to seek intervention from government officials and explore possible legal processes aimed at resolving inheritance disagreements.

Attempts to obtain comments from individuals mentioned in the allegations were not immediately successful by press time.

The developments have once again highlighted the challenges that often emerge in inheritance disputes involving estates of prominent public figures, where family disagreements can sometimes escalate into public controversies. Further details surrounding the exhumation and any official investigations remain unclear.
