The trio allegedly extorted money from PDM beneficiaries
According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, working jointly with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the trio allegedly extorted money from PDM beneficiaries between May and July 2025 in Busalamu Town Council, Luuka District. Investigations revealed that the leaders fraudulently obtained the money by falsely claiming that payment was a requirement to access PDM funds, an allegation authorities have since dismissed as untrue.
