Boni Consilii Women Football Club head coach Brenda Nassozi has said that her focus is now on the next game after her side fell 2-1 at home to URA in their second league match over the weekend.
Boni Consilii lost the contest at Kakyeka following first-half strikes by Cynthia Kirenga and Monica Nannono. Although Sheira Mungutimu pulled one back for the hosts just before the break, the visitors resisted second-half pressure and held on for all three points.

With Police next on the fixture list, whom the Isingiro-based side will face away in Kampala, Nassozi says the previous match has been used as a reference point to correct mistakes and prepare for the upcoming game.
“We played well against URA, and being our first time at this level, it was enough to prove that we can do better. We have used the past match for error correction, and we hope to have a better outing in the next game,” Nassozi said.

Boni Consilii had started their campaign strongly with a 3-0 win over Buhimba Lady Saints, and the loss to URA leaves them on three points in the race for promotion to the top women’s football league.

Team manager Primus Ngabirano said the club decided to take part in the local women’s football league to give young players a chance for exposure and improvement as they prepare to compete in Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) competitions.

Last year, Boni Consilii beat Kawempe Muslim 5-4 on penalties to win the national USSSA bronze medal and secure a maiden slot at the FEASSA Games held in Kakamega, Kenya.
The five-time Isingiro District secondary schools champions have also dominated the podium at the USSSA Ankole Zone girls’ football competition, winning the title for the past three consecutive years.
