Mitooma District leaders have described the late Assistant Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Bakyara Judith Nkuba as a "hardworking, trustworthy, and committed cadre of the NRM."
The tribute came during the yesterday's special council sitting led by Mitooma District Speaker Moses Tumwekwatse at Kashenshero Archdeaconry premises, where councillors and dignitaries from across districts gathered to honor the life of the late Bakyara.

Bakyara had served as Mitooma District Assistant RDC for the past one and a half years. Prior to her appointment, she was a district councillor representing the elderly in the current Mitooma District Council. She succumbed to complications from diabetes on Friday evening at Mulago Hospital.

Speaker Tumwekwatse, speaking about her contribution, said, "Bakyara was a fundamental NRM lady—hardworking, trustworthy, and committed to her work. This is exactly why the President appointed her as Assistant RDC for Mitooma District."

Representing the office of the RDC, Assistant RDC Ephraim Bamugyendera encouraged the family to emulate her values. "We urge the family to follow the example set by Bakyara, so they can build a strong and lasting future," he said.

Patricia Nsimire, representing the President's office, called on leaders to use their positions to leave behind a meaningful legacy. Late Bakyara Judith Nkuba will be laid to rest today Tuesday, August 2, at her ancestral home in Kashenshero Town Council, Mitooma District.
