The FUFA Executive Committee has announced the suspension of the new format for the 2025/2026 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season following consultations with key stakeholders, including UPL clubs, league sponsors, and the Uganda Premier League Board.
According to FUFA, the decision means that Rule 14:4-12 of the FUFA Competition Rules 2025 will not apply for the upcoming season.
The federation said the suspension is intended to give stakeholders more time to understand and adapt to the new Uganda Premier League reforms through a series of sensitisation and engagement activities.
