On arrival in Addis Ababa in the morning, the contingent, led by FUFA Executive Member Issa Magoola Kakaire, was ushered in at Shitaye International Hotel, where they will reside for the rest of the championship days. Mukisa has been the team's scoring machine and leads with 4 goals, while Fahad, who scored in yesterday's 6–0 win over Djibouti, has raised his tally to 3 goals.

Uganda Cubs play hosts Ethiopia in one of the semifinals, while the other semifinal will see Tanzania and Kenya battle for the finals berth.
Uganda are the defending champions of the championship, and the top three teams will qualify to represent the region at the AFCON finals in Morocco next year.
