Retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Henry Luke Orombi, has praised Canon Col. Charles Aine, proprietor of Hills Nursery and Primary School, for establishing an institution he said is shaping the young generation into responsible citizens. Speaking during his visit to the school in Rukondo Parish, Kasaana Sub-county, Archbishop Orombi commended the proprietor for investing in education with a vision to uplift standards in the area.
“Canon Aine has done great work. This school is molding children into disciplined and God-fearing leaders of tomorrow. Education here is not only about academics, but also about values,” Archbishop Orombi said.

The Archbishop also commented on the ongoing teachers’ industrial action, urging dialogue instead of denying children their right to education. “Teachers must be patient and work with government to find solutions. When they lay down their tools, it is the children who suffer, and we cannot afford to lose the future of our nation,” Orombi stressed.

Founded in 2020, Hills Nursery and Primary School was established to raise academic performance while instilling Christian values among children in the community.

Canon Col. Aine expressed gratitude for the Archbishop’s visit, describing it as a blessing to the learners and the entire school community.
“We thank Archbishop Orombi for coming to bless us. His presence has encouraged us to continue working hard to ensure quality education for our learners,” Canon Aine said.

The headteacher, Brian Kato, noted that the school’s enrollment has steadily grown since its inception, attributing it to parents’ confidence in the institution’s strong academic and moral foundation.
“When we began in 2020, we had a modest number of learners, but the figures have kept rising. Parents trust us because of the good foundation we are giving their children,” Kato said.
