The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has reached a major milestone and will begin providing uniforms to all school teams participating in the National Boys' Football Championship, starting with this year’s edition at Ngora High School. The announcement was made by USSSA President Justus Mugisha during a preparatory meeting for the championship held on Thursday in Kampala.

This year’s edition of the USSSA National Boys' Football Championship will be hosted at Ngora High School in Ngora District, from May 4 to 14.
"We appreciate that schools continue to participate in school football despite various challenges. As USSSA, we have finally found a solution to one of these challenges. We will provide two sets of jerseys to each team at the upcoming national championship in Ngora—to cater for both home and away colors, as chosen by the school teams," Mugisha said.

Mugisha also revealed that the deal to dress all 64 teams competing at the ten-day tournament has been secured with Graphics Systems Uganda, based in Luzira. Trushar Upadhyay, General Manager of Graphics Systems Luzira, assured the schools heading to Ngora of both quality and timely delivery.
"We are proud to be associated with school sports, and we assure teachers that we shall supply high-quality kits and deliver them on time," Trushar stated.

USSSA experienced a sponsorship setback after the COVID-19 pandemic, when longtime sponsor Coca-Cola ended its 25-year partnership. For the past three years, USSSA has organized the championship without a commercial sponsor, relying instead on support from the Ministry of Education and Sports as well as participation fees levied on competing schools.
St. Julian are the defending champions in the boys' football category.
