Kazo
St. Catherine Girls’ School, Kazo, is slowly but steadily establishing itself as a rising contender in sports excellence within the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ankole zone and at the national level. The Kazo District-based school has consistently been a dominant force in district competitions, excelling in girls' football, netball, volleyball, and dancesport. However, it has faced tough competition in some disciplines at the zonal level.

This year, however, St. Catherine’s athletes showcased outstanding performance across all fronts. The school finished second in girls’ dancesport and third in girls’ U16 football at the Ankole Zone competitions held in Rubaare. Their regional success was followed by an even greater achievement at the National Ball Games II in Tororo, where the U16 girls’ football team won bronze, earning the school its first-ever national medal.
In celebration of these achievements, the school administration organized a thanksgiving dinner for the sports students and staff at Hotel Continental, located in the heart of Kazo town.
