The Pepsi University Football League continues this afternoon with an anticipated entertaining clash at the Kabale University grounds, where hosts Kabale University will take on visiting Bugema University.
Kabale University, playing in their fourth season of the competition, will be hoping to make a strong start to their campaign and end the jinx that has seen them fail to progress beyond the group stages in previous editions.
It will be the first outing for both sides this season, with each team aiming to kick off on a positive note. The hosts will count on the support of the 12th man — their home fans — to boost their performance.
Meanwhile, Muteesa I Royal University edged Africa Renewal University 1–0 in a game played last evening at the Muteesa grounds.

A 48th-minute penalty converted by Ali Lutwama was enough to secure victory for the hosts and maintain their impressive home record. The win places Muteesa I Royal University in a strong position within their group and keeps them on course for a spot in the knockout stages of the league.
Elsewhere, Bishop Stuart University (BSU) will host the International University of East Africa (IUEA) in a Group B encounter at Riverside Stadium, Kakoba.
BSU returns to the competition after a two-year absence and hopes to make a solid comeback in a competitive group that includes Kabale University, current leaders Muteesa I Royal University, Bugema University, debutants Africa Renewal University, and tomorrow’s opponents IUEA.
