The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has gifted Kabaka Ronald Mutebi 10 head of cattle ahead of the 31st coronation anniversary celebrations happening today at Namirembe in Kampala. The animals were delivered to Bulange-Mengo in Kampala yesterday by a delegation from the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), whose patron is Gen. Muhoozi.
The delegation was led by Michael Nuwagira, also known as Toyota, the PLU national vice-chairperson. The gift was handed over to Anthony Wamala, the Minister in charge of Culture and Tourism in the Mengo government, as a gesture to welcome him back from Namibia where he had gone for treatment. The delegation included PLU's Secretary General Daudi Kabanda, Director of External Affairs Michael Katungi, Minister of Children Affairs Balaam Barugahara, and others. While meeting the delegation, Wamala expressed appreciation for PLU's gesture towards Buganda and the Kabaka.

"Ssabasajja Kabaka will greatly appreciate your gifts and your support for Buganda, including all the positive initiatives Gen. Muhoozi has given to Mengo," Wamala said. He assured them of continued cooperation as long as the Kabaka of Buganda is respected. Nuwagira commended the Buganda Kingdom for its hospitality.
"This marks our second visit to Buganda Kingdom this year, the first being towards the Kabaka Birthday Run. PLU is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, and non-denominational civic organization that prioritizes the interests of the country. We appreciate Buganda Kingdom for being a model of unity and patriotism," Nuwagira said.
