The Uganda U-17 men's national team — The Cubs — has lined up three crucial international build-up matches ahead of the FIFA U17 World Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 3 to 27, 2025.
All the friendly matches will be played at the Al Arabi Sports and Cultural Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the team has set up camp for the remaining 10 days before the global showpiece kicks off.
The lined-up friendlies are against fellow World Cup-bound sides Venezuela, Panama, and Paraguay, as the Brian Ssenyondo-led team fine-tunes preparations for their maiden appearance on the world stage.
The Cubs will first play Group E side Venezuela on Tuesday, before facing Group J opponents Panama and Paraguay on Sunday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 28, respectively.
Venezuela are in Group E alongside England, Haiti, and Egypt, while both Panama and Paraguay will compete in Group J with Uzbekistan and the Republic of Ireland.
Uganda is drawn in Group K alongside Canada, Chile, and France, and will open their campaign against Canada on November 5, before facing Chile on November 8 and France on November 11.
