Not many days ago, its on Tuesday evening when the Sudanese national U20 team handed Uganda football fans gloomy faces as they stopped their East Africa neighbours from qualifying for the AFCON U20 championship, with a 3-2 semifinal win of the championship that climaxes on Thursday in Dar Es Salaam.

And with hours gone after the bizarre football incident in the minds of many Ugandan football enthusiasts, its Uganda Vs Sudan again, but this time in the coming AFCON U17 men's football qualifiers CECAFA zone.

In the draws conducted on Wednesday afternoon, the two teams were drawn alongside each other in group B with Burundi completing the three team group.

And just like it was last year in Ethiopia, the three East African nations find themselves together in a group once again, with only Tanzania that completed group B then, having been separated to group C in the new grouping format by CECAFA.

Uganda overrun both Sudan and Burundi, with a 9-0 and a 4-0 beating respectively to finish second behind Tanzania before walloping hosts Ethiopia 3-0 in the semifinals and losing 3-2 to eventual champiins Tanzania in the final.

And if history would be a yardstick, then Uganda can grace themselves for a revenge over the Sudanese come the championship commencement on October 10 in Rwanda.

From the Draws, hosts Rwanda are in a four-team group A alongside Somalia, Kenya and Djibouti while defending champions Tanzania take on South Sudan and Ethiopia in group C.

From the new format, only one team from each group qualifies to the semifinals with the fourth side coming from the best loser positioned team of the three groups.
