DNA tests conducted to establish the biological children of the late Kadongo Kamu music legend Paul Job Kafeero have confirmed that only four of the 25 individuals who underwent paternity testing are his biological children.
The results, released by the Police Forensic Directorate at Police Headquarters in Naguru, bring clarity to a long-running dispute over the paternity of several individuals who had claimed to be children of the celebrated musician.

The DNA verification exercise was undertaken to establish Kafeero's rightful heirs and help resolve years of uncertainty surrounding the beneficiaries of his estate.
According to the forensic findings, the four individuals confirmed as the late singer's biological children are Benedicto Kafeero, Simon Peter Kafeero, Thomas Swaz Kafeero, and Elizabeth Nagawa.
The remaining 21 individuals who participated in the DNA exercise were found not to be biologically related to the late musician.

The verification process was conducted under the supervision of the Minister for Local Government, Balaam Barugahara, Director of the Police Forensic Directorate Andrew Mubiru, and the Director of the Government Analytical Laboratory, Dr Kepher Kuchana Kateu.
Officials said the exercise was intended to provide scientific evidence to settle the long-standing paternity claims and facilitate the lawful administration of Kafeero's estate.
Paul Job Kafeero, who died in 2007, remains one of Uganda's most celebrated Kadongo Kamu musicians, remembered for his influential music career and enduring contribution to the country's cultural heritage.

The DNA findings are expected to play a key role in determining the legitimate beneficiaries of his estate and bringing closure to a dispute that has persisted for years.
