Mbarara, – Following the successful launch of the Royco Cube Ku String pack in Gulu, Unilever Uganda today brought its latest culinary innovation to the heart of Western Uganda at Rwebikoona Market in Mbarara.
This exciting event marks another milestone in Unilever’s commitment to deepening its connection with Ugandan consumers through meaningful engagement and innovation. The Royco Cube Ku String pack introduces a more convenient, user-friendly format that meets the evolving needs of today’s home cooks—combining trusted flavour with enhanced packaging that is easy to use, store, and display.
Speaking at the activation, Grace Nandawula, Marketing Manager at Unilever Uganda, emphasized the importance of listening to customers:

“Royco is proudly made with natural ingredients that are safe for the whole family. It enhances the flavor of every meal without compromising the natural taste of our cherished local dishes like beans, luwombo, goat stew, and many more. We’ve also ensured that it remains affordable—crafted with the last person in mind—so that every home can enjoy the rich, authentic taste of Royco without stretching their budget,” added Grace
The launch at Rwebikoona Market was not just about introducing a product—it was a celebration of community. Shoppers enjoyed live cooking demos, sampling, and fun interactions with the Unilever team, reinforcing the brand's promise to always stand by the people it serves.
Luck Ochieng, the general manager of Unilever East Africa added; "We are proud to bring this innovation to the people of Western Uganda. Royco has been part of the Ugandan kitchen for generations, and with the Cube Ku String, we’re bringing that same great taste in a format that suits today’s lifestyle. This is what consumer-centric innovation looks like."
The Mbarara activation is part of Unilever’s broader nationwide rollout of the new Royco Cube Ku String pack, ensuring the product reaches every corner of Uganda while collecting valuable feedback directly from the people who matter most—our customers.
