MTN MoMo has rolled out its transformative "Power to Be More" campaign in Western Uganda, aiming to expand financial access and promote digital inclusion across the region.
The campaign was officially launched on July 21, 2025, in Mbarara City, where Allan Makanga, MTN MoMo’s Regional Manager, announced that the initiative offers a wide range of financial technology (fintech) services. These include payments, savings, credit, investment, insurance, and e-commerce, all designed to empower individuals and businesses to grow and thrive in an increasingly digital economy.
“This campaign is about enabling Ugandans from all walks of life to achieve their full potential by harnessing the convenience and security of MTN MoMo’s services,” said Makanga.

For many small-scale traders, the platform has already become a lifeline.
“I can save, borrow, and even restock my shop without leaving my stall. It’s like having a full bank in my pocket,” said Abigaba David, a trader in Mbarara City.
Over the past 16 years, MTN has earned a reputation as Uganda’s most trusted mobile service provider. MTN MoMo has evolved into a comprehensive fintech platform offering services like Pay with MoMo for daily purchases, MoMo Yinchesta for credit, and MoMo Cover for savings and insurance.
The "Power to Be More" campaign supports MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy of leading digital solutions for Uganda’s progress. It also aligns with the country’s National Development Plan III and Vision 2040, which emphasize inclusive economic transformation through technology and innovation.
As the campaign gains momentum, MTN MoMo continues to position itself not just as a financial tool, but as a partner in transforming lives and livelihoods across Uganda.
