Bushenyi
Bushenyi District has received dental care equipment worth Shs50 million from Joint Medical Stores, in a move aimed at improving access to dental services in the district. The equipment was officially handed over to Nyabubare Health Centre III and Kyabugimbi Health Centre IV, both of which have been grappling with limited capacity to offer dental care services.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, the Bushenyi District Resident District Commissioner, Emmy Ngabirano, cautioned health workers against illegally charging patients for services. "These dental services are meant to help our people. Health workers should not extort money from patients but instead ensure the equipment is properly used to serve the community," Ngabirano said.
The Chief Administrative Officer of Bushenyi District, Sanyu Phiona, said the district has long faced a gap in dental health services, forcing residents to seek treatment from distant facilities.
"Bushenyi has been experiencing a significant gap in the provision of dental services. This equipment will help bridge that gap, and I call upon the public to utilize the services now available at these facilities," Sanyu said.
Each of the two health facilities received one fully equipped dental chair, accessories, and additional sets of dental instruments, which district officials say will enhance service delivery and reduce referrals.
