The High-Class Men Phenomenon: Why you are struggling to get a partner

On various social media platforms like TikTok, X, and Facebook, there is an influx of women (referred to as "Kelens") setting high standards for the type of men they want to approach them. Young, Tall, handsome, Rich earning in seven figures, single, no baby mama issues, among many others. While this is amusing, it also highlights a bit of female delusion worth discussing, though not without a good laugh first.

These women's attitudes are not unusual; women often want men with resources. However, their standards are exceptionally high. It's like an average or below-average looking man with modest means demanding a porn-star caliber woman—blonde, young, with double Ds, and no nagging—as a wife. For a man, this would be completely laughable. Yet, when women collectively have such high standards, they don't face overwhelmingly negative reactions on social media. Men who object to their demands are labeled incels, while women praise them for knowing their worth. The combination of attributes these women want likely does not exist. Even if there were a sizable number of such men, their situations wouldn’t improve.

The main issue is that these high-class men already have women around them, whether at work or in their private lives. Expensive restaurants, clubs, and holiday resorts are full of women, either from wealthy families or those working there in hopes of catching a rich man’s attention. For their approach to work, there would have to be rich men who are completely clueless about the world and don’t interact with it.

How is this supposed to work? Do they think that friends of any finance-blue-eyes-six-five-trust-fund guy would call them up and say, “Bro, you have to see this, there’s a woman looking for a guy just like you!”? Competition for financially successful men can get quite fierce. This doesn’t mean women line up to meet you like they do outside VIP clubs, hoping to get in.

This is no joke!

If you visit high-end hangout places, they are always full of women waiting for rich men to approach them. Even in more middle-class environments, women seek key information. When you travel for business, attend conferences, or mingle with colleagues or industry people, you will encounter many women who awkwardly flirt with you. If you hold a mid-level or senior position, most women you meet likely make less money than you, and they know this.

From friends and acquaintances who do reasonably well, I’ve heard some amusing stories. One guy with a luxury sports car had women flash their breasts at him, another with a big BMW had women comment on his “really nice car,” and guys who frequently have business lunches and dinners sometimes get flirted with by cute waitresses. This isn’t to say that financially successful men are drowning in attention, but there are plenty of women around them who make their interest known. For some TikTok personality, breaking into this circle is unlikely. Interestingly, there’s a much more effective strategy for women who want a financially successful man, but it requires foresight.

As you look for a financially stable man, ask yourself, is he interested in you?

What Are You Offering?

Kelen, after partying in her teens and “exploring her options” in her 20s, will not be an attractive prospect for a successful guy in his mid-30s or 40s. By that point, she has nothing to offer. Showing up at the finish line and picking the winners of the economic rat race is a common strategy for many women, but the competition is fierce, making it a poor strategy.

In contrast, a more reliable way for women to end up with a financially successful man is by recognizing his future potential. To make it, a young woman needs to be in environments where she can meet men who have already achieved some level of success. This could be by attending a selective university or pursuing a tough technical degree with good earning prospects. Ideally, young Kelen should already have her eyes on a driven guy who gets things done in high school. The competition for men who have potential but haven’t fully realized it yet is much lower than for those who have.

There is some risk with this approach because not every outstanding student will succeed in his career, but there is a strong correlation between past success and future success. Even with potential setbacks, a smart and ambitious guy will likely prevail.

A Timeless Strategy

This strategy is not new. Just a few decades ago, mothers would advise their daughters to look for a doctor or a lawyer. Today, law is overcrowded and doesn’t always guarantee a high income, but medicine remains a good field. In recent years, smart women in college have realized that men majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)  are a good option. Men in these fields are usually not socially savvy, so competition is lower than for future doctors.
Women could party for two to three years, experiencing different relationships, as long as they secure a man with good prospects by graduation. Men should be cautious of such women.
