Bertha Nalwanga has been retained as the general secretary of the FUFA Western Region Football Association (WRFA) for another term of office.
Nalwanga was confirmed and inaugurated by FUFA CEO Edgar Watson at a function held in Mbarara on Wednesday.
The regional football association general secretary position is a FUFA-contracted appointment under the office of the CEO. The position is tasked with ensuring proper information and communication flow between the federation and its regional affiliate districts.

Nalwanga has served in the same position for the past two terms, and her reappointment was attributed to her hard work and commitment.
"She was retained after a thorough scrutiny of her past performance, and it was confirmed that she had done well. The purpose of this inauguration is to emphasise the president's manifesto, clearly state the roles of the general secretary to every stakeholder at this level, and ask you to support her in doing her work," Watson said.
During Nalwanga's inauguration, newly elected FUFA executive member and head of membership, Deo Mutabazi, conducted an induction session for newly elected District Football Association (DFA) chairpersons, focusing on ways to develop football in their respective areas.

The local football governing body, FUFA, has embarked on efforts to ensure that football is developed from the grassroots. According to Mutabazi, the federation is committed to ensuring this happens and has pledged to support the initiative.
The DFA chairpersons raised several concerns, including a lack of equipment and recognition, as well as limited finances to fund football activities at the lower levels.
They also highlighted several other challenges facing football development in their respective areas, which FUFA pledged to address gradually.
