Tragedy befell residents of Buteera village in Kyegegwa town council, Kyegegwa district after a woman burnt to ashes his husband’s house suspecting him of cheating.
Grace Nalukwago, 19, a wife to Muzamiru Arimpa set the house abraze after she got information that her husband was sleeping with a girl, who has been an attendant in their bar business.
Nalukwago however narrowly escaped fire since he had locked himself inside the house.
According to Arimpa, they had an argument before he went and locked himself into the house, an action that prompted Nalukwago to set the house on fire.

‘’I reached home at about 11:00 pm, I knocked on the door but she couldn’t open for me, neither would she pick my calls. After a while, I found her holding a knife and had a scuffle that resulted in locking herself inside and setting fire on household items’’. Arimpa explained.
Shamim Katusiime, who is believed to be the source of the problem, said she has for a long time been worried by the actions of the suspect and that she was always moody.
‘’I went to her to ask what to use but she didn’t talk to me about anything, but after a while she came wanting to beat me up, I defended myself but she proceeded and picked a knife wanting to hurt me’’. She stated.
Property worth millions of shillings perished in the fire including a motorcycle bajaj boxer registration number UEX 681 S which belonged to Arimpa.
Other items that were burnt include Mattresses, computers, Music system, beds and a TV screen.
Amis Nkangi, a security team member on the village council committee condemned the act, advising people to use legal means in settling their disputes.
