Police in Bushenyi District are actively investigating the suspected murder of a 50-year-old woman, following a violent family dispute. According to police, the deceased, Kamadara Jenerous, a resident of Kikamba Village in Kyamuhunga Sub-county, was allegedly assaulted by her nephew Twijukye Moses (30), together with Kyokunda Evaline (36) and Matungo Rhodas (41), all residents of the same area.

The incident occurred at about 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2025, in Bugongo Village, Kabingo Parish. Kamadara, who was returning from an after-party, was reportedly beaten unconscious by the trio and rushed to St. Daniel Komboni Hospital, where she later died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Acting Greater Bushenyi Sub-region Police Spokesperson SP Apollo Tayebwa confirmed the identities of the suspects, noting that Matungo Rhodas and Kyokunda Evaline have been arrested and are in custody. Meanwhile, Twijukye Moses remains at large as efforts to apprehend him continue.
Police are awaiting a postmortem report from the hospital mortuary to establish the exact cause of death.

SP Tayebwa urged residents to desist from mob justice and instead resolve disputes through lawful means.
“We appeal to the public to always use legal avenues to resolve conflicts rather than resorting to violence,” he emphasized. Investigations are ongoing, and police have pledged to provide further updates as new information emerges.
