Wakiso — The State House Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has arraigned Antonina Bwayo Nakibuuka and Nkali Kirumira Esau before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Entebbe on charges related to a fraudulent land transaction. The two suspects were charged with conspiracy to defraud, forcible entry, and unlawful occupation of land belonging to another.
According to prosecution, in June 2025, Nakibuuka allegedly sold a piece of land located in Nalugala Kitala, Wakiso District, to Esau without possessing letters of administration—legal authority to manage the estate in question. The land is said to be part of the estate of the late George William Kyobe.

Following the illegal transaction, Esau is accused of forcefully and unlawfully occupying the land, fully aware that it belonged to the deceased's estate. The accused were remanded until August 23, 2025, as investigations continue. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on fraudulent land transactions, particularly those targeting the estates of deceased individuals.
