Kayunga District – At least six people sustained injuries after a road traffic accident involving motorcycles and vehicles in the convoy of National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, along the Kalagi–Kayunga Road near Namyoya Village on 29 September 2025.
According to a statement from the Uganda Police Force, the accident occurred when a motorcycle in the convoy, traveling at high speed, collided with a vehicle from behind, triggering a chain reaction involving several motorcycles. A white Mitsubishi vehicle, registration number UAZ 064H, bearing images of the candidate, also crashed into the pile-up. The injured, mostly motorcycle riders and passengers, were rushed to St. Francis Naggalama Hospital, while those with severe injuries were later referred to Mulago Referral Hospital for specialized treatment.
