As Primary Seven pupils prepare for the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), parents and teachers of Parental Care Nursery and Primary School, Bushenyi, joined in prayer for their children’s success during a dedication service led by Ven. Rev. Didas Natweta, the Archdeacon of All Saints Greater Bushenyi.
Held under the theme “Victory in Christ,” the service aimed to spiritually prepare the candidates for their final examinations. Ven. Rev. Natweta urged the pupils to remain confident and to trust in the Lord for their desired success.

The day’s preacher, Ms. Kenyonyozi Edinah Natweta, encouraged the candidates to acknowledge God as the ultimate source of wisdom and strength.

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Mucunguzi from St. Kaggwa Parish dedicated two Bible verses — Joshua 1:5 (“I will never leave you…”) and Revelation 2:10 (“Be faithful and I will give you the crown…”) — reminding the pupils that God will be with them until the end.

The school’s director, Ms. Ellyvaida Nshemereirwe, thanked the Old Boys and Old Girls, represented by students from Ntare School, for presenting a success gift on behalf of the Ntare School community. She also revealed that the school has designated every Wednesday as a day of fasting and prayer for the candidates.
“We want our pupils to be not only academically prepared but also spiritually strong,” she said, urging parents to provide their children with all the necessary examination materials.
Head teacher, Mr. Desmond Tayebwa, called on parents and alumni to serve as ambassadors of the school.

Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality Mayor, Mr. Richard Nesta Byaruhanga, who was the chief guest, commended the school for being an ambassador of academic excellence and for its contribution to the municipality’s education standards.

Meanwhile, the Bushenyi District LC5 NRM flag bearer, Mr. Prosper Twebaze, reminded the pupils that success is a continuous journey.
“The end of every phase marks the beginning of another. When you work as a team, you achieve as a team,” he said.

The colourful event featured lively performances, including debates, music, dance, and drama.
Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality has topped schools nationally in the PLE for the past three years — a success attributed to strong partnerships among parents, teachers, and learners.
