Mukono
The girls’ football category of the 2026 USSSA Ball Games I will not conclude as scheduled, even as the tournament is set to close tomorrow at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono.
This follows a decision by organizers to reschedule the competition to Monday next week after it had reached the semifinal stage on Tuesday.

The rescheduling comes after intense pressure from the four semifinalist teams—Rines, Boni Consilii, St. Noa, and Amus College—which have played the entire competition without key players who are on national duty with the Queen Cranes.
The national U-20 women’s football team is currently in camp ahead of the return leg against Ghana on Saturday in the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifiers. The first leg ended 2-1 in favor of Ghana in Accra last weekend.
A similar situation occurred in 2024 in Luwero, where the girls’ football competition was halted at the quarterfinal stage. This time, the disruption has happened at the semifinal stage.
However, the decision does not favor record winners Kawempe Muslim, whose captain—and Queen Cranes skipper—Agnes Nabukenya was also absent during their 4-2 quarterfinal loss to Rines, a defeat that ruled them out of FEASSA qualification.

Meanwhile, other games will proceed as planned and climax tomorrow, Thursday, with finals in rugby, hockey, and basketball. Tennis, badminton, and table tennis competitions will conclude on Wednesday.
